Our first step in understanding a project is to understand how you conduct your business. Through a needs analysis we identify challenges and obstacles in project implementation while helping to mold a solid online business model. After our needs analysis our staff compiles a thorough requirements package which includes detailed project requirements, design flow diagrams, and a firm work estimate. Our goal is to ensure our customer knows exactly what to expect from our team. These planning documents will serve as a roadmap for our design team to follow and streamlines the development process.
TopDevelopment Phase 1: Engineering and Foundation
Using the roadmap as a guide our Information Architects develop detailed, forward-thinking, documentation which will guide our developers through the project from initial design to completion and expansion. During this phase, additional resources are devoted to establishing the project's production environment while the graphical layouts are finalized.
Throughout this process close communication with our customers is critical.
TopReview: Engineering
Before proceeding with the development we meet with the customer to get feedback and assess any changes needed. The graphical designs and site flow diagrams are reviewed and any concerns are discussed. This important step minimizes lost productivity caused by making changes to the foundation after further development has begun.
TopDevelopment Phase 2: Development
This is where all those meetings and our extensive documentation starts to materialize into a tangible product.

Our team begins with development of any administration functionality required. Solid administration systems set the stage for rapid development of the customer frontend. The graphical designs and site flow documentation is turned into "real" web pages and your site begins to take on life.

About midway through the project a formal mid-term review will take place. We walk our customers through the administration functionality and review the customer frontend. Changes are made according to feedback given by our customers regarding usability, structure, and layout.

In online systems, bugs are often a common occurrence. But, they don't have to be. We put each of our projects through a strict testing and quality assurance phase which combines human and programmatic testing to ensure functional operation and usability, ensures stable reproduction across all major browsers, ensures SEO compliance as well as accessibility compliance. The entire system then undergoes heavy load testing and vulnerability scanning to ensure functional operation at high loads.
TopReview: Pre-Launch
Our final meeting with the customer is used to ensure that no project requirement has been overlooked during the development process. We use this time to train the customer and their staff on the functionality of the administration system. Even before the project is launched our customers are familiar with the system and are comfortable integrating it into their business.

The final project is moved from the staging and testing environment onto the live production server. If Master Web Design is to handle the online marketing for the project, press releases will be issued and the website will be published with the search engines. From this moment on, the website is live and accessible to the world!

The project is launched, but we're not finished yet! We monitor the website on a daily basis for performance and marketing results.
